New Up & Coming Artist: Evin Elliot

Greetings everyone....I have had the opportunity to meet many artist and some are "OK" and some are "Amazing"...A new artist that's about to stir things up in Philly is the ever sexy Evin Elliott.

He is coming onto the scene pretty new but coming on strong with several singles he has on a Demo/Mix tape "Memoirs of a Bachelor" that will be dropping March 11th, 2010. He is young but has the soul and charisma to carry him through. He loves a good slow jam to make the ladies squirm in their seats...lol

Here is a short portion of the interview...a lil background on Evin Elliott:

Sheshe: Hello Evin, Glad we could sit and chat today.

Evin Elliott: Hey, thank you for having me.

SS: So lets get the preliminaries outta the way... How old are you? And are you single?

EE: I'm 24 years young but have the soul of someone much older and wiser, so I been told. And currently I am single but definitely looking for "The One"...aren't we all? (Smile)

SS: And when did you start singing?

EE: I started singing at age 5, and continued throughout my life in church, talent shows and karaoke...Wherever there was a mic I was on it. (haha)

SS: Tell me about your family? Siblings? Parents?

EE: Well, Sheila, I'm the youngest of 4 and all of us have names that start with an "E". Eric, Elita and Erica. My siblings are much older so it was like growing up an only child but with a 2nd set of parents. My parents have been happily married for 34years and counting..now that's what I call that back in the day love!

SS: Who encouraged you as a young black kid/man growing up in Philadelphia? Philly is a hard city to grow up in as a young black male.

EE: My friends and family always encouraged me to be true to myself and what it is that I love to do, which is to entertain and make others feel good.. even for just one nite. I cant name one person who has been around me and hasn't felt my magnetic personality and left smiling.

SS: Who are some of your favorite singers?

EE: Teddy Pendagrass, Barry White,Jodeci, Michael Jackson, Usher and Ryan Leslie

SS: Evin, tell me your dreams of the future?

EE: My dream is to become a Star and to be a role model for young black men. Show them with hard work, determination and belief that they too can do anything they set their minds to. I want them to know that they can be born into an urban environment and still be Well-mannered, Classy and Street-smart.

NY Mercedes-Benz Fashion week 2010

Ok, Can we speak about this AMAZING young lady named Cecilia Cassini? She is The youngest Fashion designer and she showed up with her mom Michelle Cassini at NY Fashion week. She rolled in with camera crews and the most adorable sequined shorts and big colorful bow on her head and some hot shades (to shield from the Paparazzi of course) that screamed "Im a star"! And she is! I spoke to her mom michelle and she said her daughter started sewing at age 6....WHAT! I cant sew now and my mom sews quilts by hand.. Ugh.. thats a gift I tell you! Cecilia worked the cameras to her advantage and she was a pro when it came to interviews. She is a natural Diva (in a good way) that we will be seeing soo much more of.

Plenty of info about this budding young designer and ways to order for your own kids. I think her line is whimsical and age appropreicate and I think its what 5th graders are looking to wear without being too grown up. I love it!

NY Mercedes-Benz Fashion week 2010

So me and my lovely girls (Angela, Jovi, Sara, Me and Rika) attended the last NY Mercedes-Benz Fashion week in Bryant park. I can't believe it is over. Bryant park has been the end all be all of so much fashion and style. So many great shows have been seen in the Big White tents. Bryant Park will be missed. We hope Lincoln center will be able to hold up the Style and Glamour of what fashion week is all about.

I was able to attend the Tony Cohen Show.. and it was wonderful. that man has talent! So many women have worn his designs: Ciara, Angela Simmons, Singer Jadyn maria and many more. His show was eclectic, Free Flowing and Sparkly. The tights were to die for and I want some asap!

Tony Cohen was born in the Netherlands, Amsterdam. he found his love for fashion thru his grandmother who sold second hand vintage clothes. Some of these pieces tony still has in his archive.

This and the fact that his father worked in ladies fashion for 40yrs , it was in inevitable that he too, would work in ladies fashion and we the ladies Thank you Tony!

Thursday Feb 11th, 2010 was the Kick off for NY Fashion week. It started off semi clear, but a downcast of another kind was upon us that week. News flowed thru the Big tent that Alexander McQueen had passed away. He will be missed dearly.

So i call my Ace, My girl, My sista, my Bestie Mika (lives in GA ) and we just catchin up on the Whoo Haa and what not and my blog pops up in convo (mainly because she hadn't went on like I asked her too a long time ago...geeez) So we laughn and she goes "i wanna follow u...and I say "Umm u already are" I only have 8 followers! She starts CTFU...I'm like wait..technically I have 6...I'm following myself 2X...which sends her into another fit of giggles... Which is pretty pathetic..I love my blog but I'm not sure HOW to get more followers.

I need more ppl...Waaaayyy more than 6. If I can find a way to follow via Yahoo and AOL i would..then i would have 10! HAHAHA...

That's a damn shame...

So the moral of this story is HELP ME!! Come on my blog and follow me plz so i don't look like such the loser.. cuz I'm not! Seriously. I'm not.

So I need for everyone to log on, Follow and then make suggestions or ad least COMMENT on the current post...i would really appreciate it. i want to make my blog successful.

Plenty of Juicy news coming in the future..Ill be going to Orlando in a week for some Pro bowl parties, Ill be heading to Utah a few days later for the SUNDANCE FILM FEST and you know I'm bout to get my swerve onnnn....and my ski on!

Hoopz & OchoCinco spotted!!

Ok...So it seems tongues are wagging at the prospect that a romance could be boiling with Reality star Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander and Cinn. Bengals Star Receiver Chad "OchoCinco" Johnson. Ocho tweeted earlier in the week that he was doing a Cover photo shoot for Urban Ink magazine. He has since posted some pics (see below) on Twitter with reality star Nicole "Hoopz" Alexander. In one pic she has a gun strapped to her thigh and in another she is hugged up on his shirtless chest. Nice pics guys!

Alot of people say she left the game and that her 5 mins of fame were up but never doubt Ms. Alexander...I think she was just laying low and biding her time. Better be on the look out for her...I think Ms Alexander has a few things up her sleeve and she is about to make 2010 her year to rise and shine! Big Ups Nicole Alexander!

5 Days into the New year of 2010

Well we are 5 whole days into 2010 and so far mine has been cool. I brought my new year in with close friends in NYC and it was a banger! Love u Ang, Curtis, Niknice! Now i have had a bump or 2 in this thing we call life but that's what they were..bumps. I'm all about making changes in my life.I don't think I have prayed for change so much in my short life time as I have in the last 6mos. I really need something different to occur in my life. I have ideas but its all about execution. About how to go about making my dreams happen.

Forrest Gump: Life is like a box of chocolates....you never know what your gonna get.

I am sooo feeling that statement because that's really true for me right now. I don't know what I will get, but I cant stay in the safe zone. I need to venture out and keep it moving.

Make 2010 YOUR year to shine in whatever it is you want to do with your life. Don't hold back. Don't let the cost of living ( get a roomie), or not moving outta state because of Fam ( they can fly to see u) , or money (get ur hustle on) stop u from making it happen. Cause all you will do is regret it and whine about it and nobody wants to hear that.

Facebook is ever changing just like Myspace and sometimes i think just leave it alone. Somethings don't need to be messed with and some things need improvement but they don't do it in a timely fashion.

Let's get that DISLIKE button into affect.

Lets stop with all the Farmville and pillow fights...esp MEN doing the pillow fights! Ugh

And just cause we have 1 friend or 75 friends in common doesn't mean we can be friends! I'm not a promoter or business owner so i don't need to "collect" large numbers of friends and honestly I don't want just anyone on my page looking at my stuff. Sorry. If you know of me, then come up to me next time and say HI...like the guy who saw me on market st...he adleast yelled out a "Hi Sheshelaghost" as he drove past.....LMAO

Watch what you post because it can come back to haunt u..if ur out drunk or doing something u know u shouldn't be doing...make sure u don't step in front of a camera because some will post it just cause. And then someone else might tag u or just see it, steal it and then post it on another page...that's how bad things start. Don't be mad cause u got caught out there. U did it. not the camera. LOL Otherwise...watch yourself.
